The Commission announces the release for comments and consultation on the Number Portability Consultation Document.

WHEREAS, The Telecommunications Commission pursuant to Sections 4 and 27 of the Telecommunications Ordinance 2009 and Section 14 of the Telecommunications Numbering Regulations 2005, the Turks and Caicos Islands Telecommunications Commission hereby gives notice that it is initiating a consultation process to assess the appropriateness and feasibility of introducing Number Portability into the Turks and Caicos Islands Telecommunications market.
NOW THEREFORE, the Commission announces the release for comments and consultation on the Number Portability Consultation Document.
ACCORDINGLY, the Commission invites comments from interested parties on this proposed policy on Number Portability. Comments should be submitted to the Commission within 4 weeks of the publication of this notice, and should reach the Commission by Friday, August 12, 2016, at their office at Business Solutions Building, Leeward Highway, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, or by mail to P.O. Box 203, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, or electronically via email at consultations@tcitelecommission.tc. All submissions should be filed electronically even if also filed in paper form.
FURTHER, by September 2, 2016 the Telecommunications Commission will issue an assessment of the responses made by all stakeholders and permit any party to submit reply comments in reply to any matters contained in the Commissions assessment. Any such reply comments must be filed with the Commission in the same manner as described above and must be received by the Commission on or before 3:30 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016.
