Due to the ongoing poor quality of internet services experienced in the family islands and Grand Turk, some residents have turned to satellite operators like Starlink for internet access as an alternative. This growing trend is concerning, as it may have significant market implications. Recognizing the issue with the increasing uptake of this service, the Commission reached out to a specific satellite operator to inform them about the activities on the ground and further inquire about the status of regularizing its services in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
